About an hour and a half away from Tokyo, in the town of Hakone, famous throughout the country for its onsen , the typical Japanese thermal springs, is located the Yunessun resort and spa , one of the largest thermal facilities, renowned both for its large water park and for its rather unusual hot water pools .
In fact, the resort has a myriad of incredible and unique pools to choose from, many of which are the result of the combination of commonly used drinks and spring water . Among the most popular is certainly the tub of red wine , characterized by a vivid purple color, an intoxicating scent and dominated by a suggestive bottle of wine more than 3 meters high.
At certain moments of the day you can also attend the so-called "Wine Show", in which a spa employee adds real red wine to the tub, also pouring it into the glasses of bathers who wish it, although many of them drink directly with their hands from the pool.
It seems that Cleopatra also loved to bathe immersed in wine : this drink in fact has numerous beneficial effects on the skin, first of all it prevents skin aging by making the skin brighter and reducing discolouration. The red wine tank inside the resort © Nippon100

But that's not all: among the inimitable offerings of the Yunessun resort there are also tubs with sake, coffee and other unique ingredients, including the broth of traditional Japanese ramen .
Each ingredient is treated differently, in order to enhance its benefits: coffee, for example, is prepared at a low temperature in order to maintain its regenerating effects, and is then slowly poured into a swimming pool with a jacuzzi. The properties of caffeine, together with the atmosphere created by its fragrant aroma, tone the body and help the skin to relax. Yunessun is a truly unique place for many reasons, one of which concerns clothing. In fact, unlike other spas, the resort allows access in swimsuits : for Westerners it may seem normal, but in traditional Japanese spas it is customary to use the onsen totally naked.
Precisely for this possibility, in the center there is not the usual separation between men and women: a choice certainly appreciated by customers coming from foreign countries, not accustomed to these customs.
