A great connoisseur of tropical forests - which has been tirelessly exploring for forty years in the company of a sketchbook- Francis Hallé Atlas of Poetic Botany takes us on an illustrated journey to the discovery of uncommon plants. Looking through the countless notebooks collected over time in his Montpellier studio, the famous botanist selected some of the most incredible species.

From the Codariocalyx Motorius, the dancing plant, to the underground Solanaceae of Argentina, of which we see only a carpet of leaves, these plant creatures grow and adapt to the environment in ways that escape our understanding, thus fascinating our imagination.
