Shinkansen (新幹線) is the Japanese railway network of high-speed trains on which the so-called "bullet trains" travel, born in April 1959 with the construction of the Tōkaidō Shinkansen, the section between Tokyo and Osaka. The term Shinkansen literally means "new railway line". The trains that run along it are called Super Express.

From this famous network in Japan, many products of all kinds inspired by bullet trains were born. Like this original folding ruler, which when opened depicts the train of the Shinkansen - Hakutaka line. It opens like a fan and with the appropriate wheel you can also decide the degree of opening (from 0 to 180°).
